FID PARSER ENGINE

Sleek, secure, local-first note processing and conversion utility.

Engine Purpose & Metaphor

A fid is a tapered tool used to untangle tight knots and splice rope strands together. Similarly, the Fid engine untangles chaotic, proprietary note exports (Evernote ENEX, Joplin JEX, Keep JSON, Heptabase) and splices them into clean, standardized markdown vault systems.

CORE COMPONENT: FID PARSER ENGINE // v0.1.0-alpha

Core Parser Capabilities

Note Untangling: Resolves broken XML tags, cleans custom vendor formatting, and converts raw HTML fragments into clean, legible Markdown.

Reference Splicing: Automatically heals internal note links, converting vendor-specific note GUIDs into relative vault links so your wiki structure remains fully intact.

Attachment Extraction: Pulls images, audio, and documents out of database wrappers and stores them cleanly alongside your text files.

Ecosystem Integration Options

Fid serves as the core parsing engine under the hood of Kikr and Bosun. While end-users interact with it through the Kikr PKM Router and Bosun dashboards, developers can also access the engine directly via command line interfaces or Node/Python library imports.
